A daughter, a sister, a mother of one robust toddler, a wife, a photography enthusiast, a writer wanna be, a travel junkie,  somewhat Americanized and trying to settle back in her home country pretty much sums it up…

But since you suppose to write a catchy ‘About Me’ page, let me try to break it down for you.

A daughter…make that the only daughter in the family, born 30 years ago in Indonesia.

A sister…I have two younger brothers.

A wife…I’ve been married to my husband (will be likely refers here as DH or Hubby) for  4 years now.

A mother…blessed with a boy, who’s now a robust toddler, refers here as “Lil’ A”. From DH, first marriage he have two boys. Well, they’re both grown now, the eldest is James Philips (named after DH’s first name but without ‘junior’) and Justin, the sweetest boy ever who have the same birthday as his half little brother. Both of them are living in the USA, with James working in Dothan, Alabama and engaged to the beautiful Katie, while Justin lives with his Mom back in Florida.

A photography enthusiast…picked up my very first DSLR camera in 2008 and still learning the curve whenever I can but I just love taking pictures.

A passion for writing…Even though English isn’t my first language, I’ve always wanted to be a good writer since I found the language gives me more ways to express my thoughts. Hate typos with a passion so I always make sure I spell check everything LOL. Here you will see a lot of my ramblings and thoughts mostly about being a mixed couple, living in Jakarta, Indonesia, about toddlerhood, also about traveling and lots of pictures, so I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I did.

A travel junkie…well I just love love love to travel. Originally from Indonesia, for the last 4 years I’ve been living in America (Upstate New York & a small town known as the peanut capital of the world in Alabama), China and now back to Indonesia. Last year went by too quickly going back and forth between Guangzhou, China to join my husband. Now we’re trying to start a new life back in Jakarta. Moving around has been a big part of my life from the younger years. Growing up in many small mining towns of Indonesia has given me the essence to quickly adapt in new environments. Although, I have to admit that China was the hardest one, that doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoyed it though! My husband new job here will gives me more chance to explore parts of Indonesia I haven’t seen yet so that is exciting!

PS: What’s with the name Tatter you asked? Ok, it all started with this online game and I picked “Tatter_tots” as my name. Again, why? Simple…because I love tatter tots and can’t find them here.  That name Tatter sticks and I just love it.
